I want to look back when I’m 90 and know there was nothing left unsaid or unexplored. I want to know in my bones that I lived my life to the fullest having embraced my agency, authenticity, and aliveness.
I want the same for you.
I began filling notebooks with writings on psychology, sociology, self-help, personal growth, living an intentional life, and clear communication in 2010.
Since then, I have found more ways than I can count to infuse those ideas into my work.
Technically speaking, I’m a PhD dropout turned web designer turned copywriter turned brand strategist turned coach turned proud generalist by process of elimination.
What Makes My Method (Madness?) Different:
I don’t fit cleanly into one box. And much of what I write draws on my vast array of interests, experiences, rabbit holes I’ve wandered down, and detours I’ve ended up taking.
Life is rarely as compartmentalized as we like to think it is and my writing reflects that–transcending multiple areas of life to answer the question: “How do we make choosing transformation simple?” “How do we embrace joy?” “How do we step into our most authentic and agent lives?”

My (currently) official bio:
Alyssa Patmos is obsessed with how the stories we tell ourselves determine what we create for ourselves. She writes, makes art, coaches incredible clients, leads transformational intensives, and trains people in the art of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
She uses her Psychology background, Master’s in Communication, her NLP training, and her obsession with human behavior to help people release their emotional baggage to unlock more of who they really are and deepen their relationship with joy.
She believes all of the answers you need are inside you, you likely just need some guidance finding them and bringing them to the surface from time to time.
My words and ideas have been featured in Thrive Global, Authority Magazine, Canvas Rebel, the International Journal of Business Communication, and the Systems Saved Me Podcast. Oh, and I’m published in a kids poetry book for a contest I won in Middle School.
When she’s not working, you can usually find her on a walk or in the kitchen whipping up a delicious dinner (with an empty peanut butter cup wrapper nearby). Who says dessert can’t come before dinner?

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you sure being a generalist is the new specialist?
How many ways can I say yes? When you work with me you’ll see for yourself. Generalists are professional dot connectors bridging ideas between disparate industries to bring you out-of-the-box solutions to the challenges you’re facing.
What types of challenges do you love helping people with?
Communication challenges are my bread and butter. Whether you’re facing a sticky situation with a loved one, wanting to communicate better with a co-worker, wanting to learn how to put your best foot forward starting with the colors you wear, or want to launch a bold idea into the world, I’ve got your back.
Moose Tracks or mint chocolate chip ice cream?
Why are you making me choose between my two favorite flavors? That’s just cruel.
