Hey Reader,
When I was little, I always wanted white cake with vanilla frosting for my birthday.
My mom hated this particular preference of mine and frequently tried convincing me that adding chocolate to the mix would really make for a party.
To this day, I send her pictures whenever I order a white cake. 🍰
Like this morning, when I walked to the gluten-free bakery Geoff found here in Málaga, and I picked out a slice of white cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ganache for my birthday.

As I used the recycled piece of wood, only minorly resembling a fork, to scoop the last crumb into my mouth, I wondered, “What’s the best gift I could give myself?”
It’s been quite the season of gifts from others, so what’s the thing I need to be gifting myself?
I heard the answer rapidly (and somewhat violently). “THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE YOURSELF IS THE GIFT OF WRITING.”
The people I admire most are those who have prolific writing habits, publishing thoughtful pieces unapologetically.
Then, before any hyperrational thoughts could chime in, I asked, what if I gave myself the gift of being that person?
It’s funny how the right question can unlock so much pent-up energy.
Ten minutes later, I had mapped out a way to make the best gift for me a gift for you, too.
Here’s what I came up with:
For the next 32 days (I turned 32 today), I’m going to email you daily.*
Each email will have an insight paired with some inspiration and instigation. If the insight of the day is speaking your language, they’ll be a simple offer as a way to go deeper with it.
No offer will be the same. That means you’ll get 32 different insights for self-inquiry, gaining that most-coveted clarity, and uncovering the patterns that sneakily sabotage you—and 32 ways to transform them.
One technique, one program, one way is never the answer. I firmly believe in picking what works for you and leaving the rest, so each offer comes as an invitation to go deeper.
The only caveat is most offers will only be available for the first 48 hours they’re released because then I’ll be onto the next one.
More details to come tomorrow (as well as the first insight).
Together, we’re going to swim below the surface of sound bytes into the depths of nuance.
Scuba gear not required.
xx,
Alyssa
P.S. Is there a topic of personal growth you want to dive into? Is there something going on in your relationships you’ve been wanting some perspective on? Hit reply and let me know. If you’re dealing with it, chances are someone else is too.
What we can mention, we can manage. 💋✨
*If daily isn’t your jam, there’ll be a way to edit the frequency soon.
